Choosing a Marketing Network Requires Scrutiny
February 5, 2008 | Leave a Comment
Several network marketing opportunities exist today that can help those looking to supplement their incomes or start a business from home, but they be overlooked due to past experiences with a network marketing company or by news reports about the number of people ripped off by multilevel marketing fraud.
Unfortunately, the news is only interesting when someone does something stupid or wrong. Very seldom on independent reports is it talked about when someone actually is successful.
While it one should be cautious when considering joining a marketing network, how building a network should also be balanced. That is not likely to happen in the near future. As long as there are people willing to spend money on questionable business opportunities there will be others willing to take their cash.
As a result, honest network marketers are facing a more difficult time finding quality distributors to help sell their merchandise. The problem of fraud swings both ways on the pendulum of balancing business opportunities with those simply seeking an opportunistic way to get rich.
The 1908’s and early 90’s,many people were getting super rich with internet business, which made it an attractive alternative to many, including those who had no skills at all in running a business, let alone an internet marketing network.
Not everyone is destined to be a network marketing guru and as a result, there are a lot of failures in the business. Each failure results in mode bad publicity for the network marketing industry but the ones who achieve even a small level of success is not deemed newsworthy and many pass up amazing opportunities.
It also takes time to build a quality and sustainable network and many who enter into a plan lack the patience to see the reward they were expecting to drop into their laps.
The prospect of instant riches from internet businesses may be waning, the number of people still pitching the opportunity remains the same, of not growing in to more unrealistic offers. Scrutiny of any offers should tell if a business is viable or only making money for the person making the job offer.
Some of the red flags about a potentially fraudulent offer include having to send money to find out what the company is selling. A person cannot possible know if they can be successful selling a product before they know what the product is. In addition, contact information is very often limited to fraudulent sights. Even those sites offering a money back guarantee may simply list a name and an email address that could removed within a week or two.
Offers without a physical, verifiable physical address, while not always, the majority of the time are not going to return the income claimed in propaganda. If an offer still looks good, and the location is available, simple do a little research online by going through different states attorneys general or better business bureaus to see if there is any record of complaints. If possible, read the complaints. While many are legitimate, there are those that are not and the scrutiny may have saved a lot of money.

The World Of Online Business Opportunities (Part 2)
February 4, 2008 | Leave a Comment
Promises, Promises
The initial capital to get into target based or board businesses is usually around $200. Generally speaking the payouts range anywhere from $4,000 to $14,000. As the affiliates move through the program, achieving different levels, compensation might include cash earnings as well as offerings from the product on which the program is based.
If the team advertising promises that you will earn the maximum commission within weeks of joining, ask the team leadership to explain their cycling strategy.
How do they plan on accomplishing this incredible feat?
Do they have a plan in place that is going to provide you with a reasonable degree of assurance that your position will cycle within the time stated?
Under normal circumstances how quickly do you think you could earn that kind of money from an initial $200 investment. Years, right? Well, why would you think it is possible to earn that kind of payback in weeks or even months on an internet business? Going back to that familiar cliche, ” If it’s too good to be true……….”
If the team leaders are cycling through the boards more often than anyone else, and there is no indication that they are reinvesting any of their proceeds to support their team members they probably do not have any kind of reinvestment strategy in place. Every team should have one and it should be clearly spelled out.
If there is no requirement for either the leaders or the members to reinvest in the business, where is their incentive to continue supporting the team, once they have cycled through the compensation plan and reaped the rewards. More to the point, why would you want to join such a Team?
So look for evidence that the team leaders are demonstrating through their actions that they plan on sticking around to support those who have joined after them and were the reason they earned the commission in the first place.
To Participate or Not To Participate
In its advertising, does the team imply that all you will have to do is join them and they will do the rest? Think about it for a minute. On the face of it, it might seem like a great idea to invest $200 in a business proposition and sit back and reap the rewards while someone else does all the work. But really, does this make sense? Think about the whole concept underlying the team approach.
When you join a team, you join as a player not as a spectator. If the team advertising creates an impression that you can pay your fees and sit back while some mysterious group of workers slaves away on your behalf and all you have to do is wait for the gravy train, then everyone else who reads this advertising is getting the same message.
If everyone who joins is waiting for someone else to make them rich, then you have to ask yourself, “Who is doing the work?”
If you are enticed by promises of a free ride, all that is likely to happen is that you will be taken for that ride, but it won’t be free. It will surely cost you your initial investment with a very, very slim chance for a payout.
So, next time you see an ad that proclaims, “Our team offers passive participation,” run the other way. A true oxymoron if ever there was one.
This ends Chapter 2 in our on-going series about marketing on-line for businesses that use the board or target model for their compensation plan.
In chapter 3 we will discuss the importance of team leadership.

An Online Business - Affiliate Programs make it Easier
February 4, 2008 | Leave a Comment
If you ever had the desire to start your own online internet business from home, you may have never heard the word “affiliate programs” before. If you did come across this word before, you may also have found the affiliate program review opportunities available that are online are overwhelming. So where do you begin?
Affiliate Programs - Know how
Affiliate programs may be the easiest online business to start running. Why?
With any online business you must have a product or service to sell. First you must create this product or service and then you must be able to fill orders or find people who will sell it for you for a hefty commission.
Selling your own product or service also means creating a website, learning how to write ad copy, setting up a marketing plan, being able to accept payments online and obviously doing the work. If you’re selling a physical product then you will need to make or buy the item, package it and pay for shipping costs. If you provide a service than you will likely have to start by doing free jobs to build your credibility and then when you are charging for your service you are still limited by how much work you can actually handle.
The magic of affiliate programs
starting with an affiliate program is a great way to get started in the online business world. In fact there are even some ‘Super Affiliates’ who are making nice and comfortable full time incomes from affiliate programs.
So, what exactly are affiliate programs?
Affiliate programs allow you to sell another company’s service or product and make a commission on every sale or lead. You do not even need to build a website, process the order, ship the product to the person, or anything like that. Your only job is to drive traffic (customers) to your affiliate link and hope that they click on it and buy the product.
An affiliate link is a special URL code that will identify customers coming to the company’s site from your advertising. It will likely be the website address with a code attached to the end.
Some affiliate programs also have tiers. That means if someone who is interested in SELLING the product comes through your link and signs up you will also get a small percentage of THEIR earnings. This is also called internet network marketing.
How do you choose the right program?
Try to determine if people are buying or looking to buy that product or service online. Is it cheaper or more expensive? There are many sources for finding that information including free ones such as the Overture keyword tool.
When you have found an area that is popular then type the subject along with ‘affiliate program’ into your search engine and see which programs have services or products for that area. You can also use an affiliate program review directory.
When you have found a program that looks interesting you should read the terms of the program. Make sure that payouts are not based on a high commission earning or you may never see your money. Also try to choose programs with high commission rates. Often you will find e-books and downloadable software has the highest rates as there is no physical product to make or ship. If you are satisfied with the terms then you need to sign up - usually a simple process.
Starting your marketing efforts
The reason affiliate programs are so wonderful for beginners and starters is that you only need to focus on marketing it and not making the actual product itself.
Many affiliate programs have information on how to market and give you tools such as solo ads, product feeds and more. The Plug in Profit Site is exactly what an affiliate program should be like. It has all the right tools to marketing online such as writing articles, creating pay-per-click campaigns, commenting in online forums etc.

Four Common Affiliate Marketing Mistakes
January 14, 2008 | Leave a Comment
Myths about earning big money through affiliate marketing are appealing and attractive. However, people who do not know the entire system are sucked in to believing that it is something that can generate them a huge fortune overnight. Stories about affiliates who earn tremendous amounts are abound all over the internet. While these stories maybe true, most are just made up drivel designed to get the newbie to sign up to a list or buy their product, which is usually a rewritten ebook over 5 years old. This prompts people to believe that they are going to make huge amounts of money by next week.
It is true enough that affiliate marketing is financially rewarding. People who have gone through everything to be able to succeed in this business are reaping the seeds that they untiringly sowed. Many of them enjoy the kind of existence that was not possible for them to have under ordinary circumstances. Having gone through the A-Z of affiliate marketing, however, these people are the ones who know that while this business is lucrative, there is absolutely no easy money in it.
Ignorance of this fact is one of the main reasons why there are so many people who fail miserably in the internet business. There are those who believe in the myths about making easy money. They do not know that there are those who have wasted time, effort and too many resources in trying to pursue the life of ease that they believe this business will give them. And so they go into affiliate marketing armed with nothing but myths and fantastical notions of wealth swimming around in their consciousness, never realizing that they are bound to make mistakes that will prove to be their downfall.
This is why in this business, many try it but very few make it. Perhaps the answer lies on the fact that many affiliates make mistakes that result from their ignorance of facts concerning how the entire business runs. Affiliate marketing is not as simple as an affiliate promoting a merchant’s wares through his website and getting paid for it. It is also about knowing the market and the customers at hand.
Discovering what the most common mistakes affiliates make can perhaps dispel the gloom about the myths surrounding affiliate marketing by correcting some of the misconceptions about it. Like any other business, there are dos and donts involved in affiliate marketing. The first common mistake affiliates make is their lack of knowledge concerning the principles involved in their business. This refers to the affiliate’s knowledge of search engines in particular.
Affiliate marketing involves advertising, and advertising through the internet could not have been better without the existence of search engines. What every affiliate has to do is to make these search engines his best friend through studying search engine optimization closely. This way, he is able to know what to do in connection with building a better website to ultimately use for his business.
The second is that affiliates make the mistake of stuffing their sites with banners that do not provide enough information about the product at hand. The best way to battle this mistake is to provide good content hand-in-hand with such banners. It is important for customers to know and understand the features of a product, and good content will be able to help them realize this goal.
The third is that there are affiliates who make the mistake of promoting only one product. Consequently, customers are not given enough options to choose from. There is also the risk of generating fewer sales as compared to having more options for customers to ponder over. It is always better to give them a few better alternatives than to give them only one.
The fourth is that there are affiliates who make the mistake of promoting too many products. As a result, customers are confused and end up not making a choice. It is perhaps good to give them only the best choices. This is because it is ultimately up to them to judge which one is the best for them to patronize.
All in all, affiliates that are doomed to fail in this business are those who do not exert enough effort to understand everything involved in the industry that they are in. Knowing their path step by careful step will prove to be beneficial to them, as there is no other way to succeed than to go through any path slowly but surely.

Pay Per Click - 5 Killer Steps to Get Cut-Throat Targeted Website Traffic Using PPC Engines
January 12, 2008 | Leave a Comment
Are you interested in driving targeted traffic to your website starting within next few minutes?
Pay per click search engines are used by website owners to drive targeted traffic to their sites.
Website owners post their ads on ppc search engines, their ad networks and site that are visited by their target markets.
This is one of the most targeted ways to advertise an internet business.
Here are 5 Killer Steps that Will Boost Your Website Traffic and Sales through Pay Per Click…
Step 1 - Make Every Word Count.
You can only place very few words in your ad. Therefore you have to make sure that each and every word counts and helps you to attract your visitors attention.
Use words that are highly related and relevant to your products and services.
Make your ads short, to the point and interesting.
Step 2 - Write Your Ads Creatively.
Think of different words and tactics that can grab attention of your target market and make them click your ad.
On the other side you have to be sure that your ad only gets clicks of people who are interested in your products or else if you end up getting non targeted visitors you will end up paying more for useless traffic.
Step 3 - Communicate Your Offer.
Your ad has to be easy to understand, well written and must contain a clear call to action.
Step 4 - Try to Get the High Spot.
If you bid higher you will end up getting a higher spot on the results page and thus more traffic.
To make sure that you are recovering back and making profits you have to track and increase your websites conversion rates.
Step 5 - Create Many Landing Pages.
It is important that you use different landing pages for various ads and different groups of keywords.
Doing this you will be able to track effectively as to which groups of keywords and ads are effective and which are waste of your time and money.
Once you know which are converting well you can drop out the useless ones and invest more in the ads and keywords that are working for you.

Why Pay Per Click Traffic Is Good For Your Internet Business
January 11, 2008 | Leave a Comment
There are many more Internet business failures than there are successes. When you look at the reasons why it almost always comes back to traffic. The Internet businesses to succeed have consistent traffic coming to their site every day. The failures never have mastered getting traffic to their website.
In this article we will look at why paying for website traffic is great for your Internet business. We are not talking about all of those ads you see for 10,000 hits for $20 either. What we are talking about is using a per click search engine advertising to get targeted visitors that want to be on your site.
There are various forms of pay per click advertising that you can use, but the two that stand out come from the largest search engines, Yahoo and Google. The obvious advantage of buying traffic from Google or Yahoo is you control the amount of traffic that you get. With other forms of advertising, you are never sure the amount of traffic that you are going to get on a daily basis.
With pay per click advertising it only cost you money when someone clicks on your ad. You control the amount you want to bid for each click so you get to control your budget. The downside to this is that depending on the niche that your website is in the cost per click can be prohibitive for many website owners.
The only way around this is to develop a large list of hundreds or even thousands of keywords to bid on. By bidding on lesser search words you can lower your cost per bid down to as low as five cents a click. The way to maximize this is to use as many lesser searched keywords to get as much traffic as possible.
Once you have established your keyword list and set your budget and bid amount, it is important that you monitor the amount of traffic that it takes to generate a sale. By testing both Yahoo and Google, or any other pay per click search engine that you decide to use, you are able to zero in on the words that drive the most traffic to your site.
In summary buying traffic to pay per click search engines is a good way to build your Internet business. When you have put together a solid campaign the only way to make money on the Internet is to have consistent traffic in and confer some of that into sales. Pay per click advertising helps you do just that.

January 11, 2008 | Leave a Comment

Don’t worry; believe in eBay business as many people are doing day in and day out because they know how to sell information products through eBay. At some point, you may have already accessed the eBay auction site where the seller only exchanges some downloadable product. You may wonder what sort of business is this that offers product for such low price! There can be two answers to this:
#The seller does not have clue of what he or she is doing and then suffers loses.
# The seller is highly experienced and makes thousands of dollars even if his or her auction shows low sales.

EBay uses information products as back end sales and they might sometimes sell 10 copies of an e-book and might sometimes end up making minor profits or just break even when compared to the cost of the ebook. Buyers follow the plan and purchase the hosting domain name as directed by the seller. This enables the seller to make some fast money in the form of commission on domain name registration and recurring commission on the hosting as the long as the buyers Internet business sticks around.
