The Difference Between Organic SEO & PPC, Search Engine Optimzation VS Pay Per Click Advertising
November 24, 2009 |
I just read an interesting article from a popular SEO service that provides great services on SEO placement. SEO Network, the company that wrote the article, mentions how different SEO and PPC are. You can check out the article by clicking here.
To be very brief on what the article talks about, you’ll find out on how prospects actually search the Google page whenever they do a search on a specific keyword. So if you did a search on “strategic leadership,” you will look on top of the page first and read the info on the page thoroughly, but as you move down the page, you pay less attention to the descriptions of the sites. They look at the top of the page the most where the website is in the top of SEO rankings.
This is how prospects search for sites that have been organically placed using SEO techniques to get them there. Their content is keyword rich and they are everywhere on the Internet. PPC users, in turn, get put on front pages of Google or Yahoo because they bought that territory. Since prospects are exposed to thousands of different marketing messages a day, they’re less likely to look at someone’s advertisements on Google.
People want information that can relieve their pain, save them time, save them money, and allow them to do fun activities they can’t do now. So when someone uses marketing SEO to promote their video on how to, for example, use popular keywords in your articles to be placed on the first page of Google, and a popular keyword they use for the description and tag of their video is “keyword SEO,” people will want to look at that video if they find it on the front page of Google on top.
That is why SEO placement is important. This strategy is the most effective, and most important way to be found over the Internet. So remember, organic SEO is when you post keyword rich content over the Internet where Google picks up and ranks you based on relevance, importance of the content, and how often people click on, view and talk about your content. PPC is when you pay to be placed on the front page of Google, and you’re offering your products and services to prospects. This points back to the fact that providing value is very important. So get out there, create your own content, use SEO, and watch your rankings soar through the roof.
